All About Me

I'm Emma-Kate Squires, and I started Squires Snapshots 4 years ago. Since then, I have adored experimenting with all sorts of photography and I'm always down to try anything new!

I fell in love with photography through high school journalism, when I learned the power of bringing joy to other people as they see themselves represented in school. From there, I slowly started getting jobs outside of school and by my senior year, every night became occupied with photoshoots for local business, sports teams, or late nights editing all of the above! 

Soon enough... a business was born!

My favorite part of photography is the story behind the image. Whether it be the bittersweet smiles of a graduating senior or the triumphant victory of beating your biggest basketball rivals, nothing feels better than having the photo to capture the moment.

Now, I attend the University of San Diego as an honors student and International Relations major while continuing to explore photography in all of its forms. I work with the athletic department, so you can spot me on the sidelines! In this internship, I've gotten the incredible opportunity to take photos at games televised by ESPN and had my photos used by the San Diego Tribune, the NCAA, and many more.

Beginning in 2025, I will be working with the Semester at Sea social media team to document our travels to eleven countries across the world.
